We have some exciting news to share — GRG just earned the Guidestar (Candid) Seal of Transparency for 2025!
Guidestar, which has rebranded as Candid, is an umbrella organization for nonprofit organizations that rates them according to their level of financial and organizational transparency.
Platinum is the highest level of transparency certification for nonprofit organizations that Candid offers.

As a reminder, GRG’s mission is to rehabilitate and empowers former child soldiers, post-conflict communities, and refugees to help heal war trauma and rebuild their lives. GROW projects are designed by participants themselves at the grassroots level in northern Uganda and beyond. Founded in 2007, our programs have had a significant impact on reducing poverty and war trauma and building peace among former child soldiers and war-torn communities. GRG’s projects align with United Nations Sustainable Development Goals of promoting peaceful and inclusive societies, decent work, good health and well-being, social and economic inclusion, and gender equality.
