In exciting news, GRG Program Director Wilfred Komakech was interviewed by the BBC Focus on Africa today, February 20, 2025 (starts at 11:22).
In the interview with BBC Senior Journalist Blessing Aderogba, Wilfred recants his difficult but inspiring story as a child soldier with the Lord’s Resistance Army in northern Uganda, and discusses issues around child soldiering.
He then talks about our Grassroots projects that have empowered over 2,700 war survivors in northern Uganda, including psycho-social trauma counseling, entrepreneurship and income generation, and peacebuilding.
