GRG has a firm belief that the solutions to post-conflict problems lie with those who face the problems themselves. For this reason, GRG supports groups to identify the specific problems faced by their communities and examine the possible solutions. Groups then put together a multi-year development plan (called Group Development Plan) to promote long-term progress for themselves and their communities. This empowering process makes GRG group members the active change-makers in their own futures.

Group members rank the community problems they find most pressing.

The problems are written up for all to see and analyze.

A discussion is held in order for GRG members to come up with their own solutions to the community problems.

The solutions are turned into actions as group members position their reconciliation and recovery projects on a two year timeline – their Group Development Plan

The Group Development Plan is transferred to paper (in English and Lwo) for everyone to access and follow.

Group members work together for their development, becoming agents of their own success.
